Hello everyone and welcome to the 2018 Soccer season. Here we go again another season with Buderim United Churches Soccer Club.  It is going to be a great season of soccer for our cub, as interest in soccer will be high with the soccer World Cup taking place in Russia in June this year.  More and more people will be getting involved in the World Game !

Sign on for the coming season has started already as for the second year in row now you can register your child on-line.  The web link is registrations.sccsa.org.au/buderim.  We have kept our prices the same as last year. Our first official 'sign-on' day is 3rd February down at the Club House which will also be a 'Come and Try' day for any new Rootball players.

For existing teams, preseason training can begin at our fields in the week beginning 22nd January 2018.  Please liaise with your coaches regarding this.  Register your child early to secure your place in a team. Team allocation for the season won't be confirmed until after 11th February.

Our committee for the 2018 season is now in place. Our new secretary is Lisa Kozlowski (Dragons manager), and our new Treasurer is Janet Gorsch (Fusion manager). We have a new equipment officer in Chris GLEESON (former Monsoons coach), and new general committee Glen Taylor (Twisters) and Tony Blakeston (Bears).  Returning committee are Bruce Jonns (media), Tony Morwood (grounds), Kerry Scott (canteen), Dannie Allan (registrar), Wayne Potter (coaching director) and myself as president.

We look forward to a great season at Fishermans Road, and seeing our kids enjoying the great game of soccer.

Well we have reached the end of the 2017 soccer season, and what a season it has been for Buderim United FC.

This year has seen a boost in the number of roo-ball teams at the Club, and has seen a number of new coaches and managers start their new job as volunteer coach and manager. I’ve never seen so many smiling faces !

The Club has been lucky to receive our new strip this year, thanks to a generous contribution from our new major sponsor Pacific Motor Group.  We have also been lucky with our Club House renovations carried out thanks to the generosity of Tony Morwood, and Morwood Constructions, and materials provided by John McDougall of Sunshine Mitre 10.

This year has also seen the installation of the backing fence on the southern side of our fields.  Thanks goes to former President Scott Paul for all his efforts in realizing this long term plan come to fruition. The fence is awesome.

To all our 25 junior teams, we hope that you have had a wonderful season enjoying ‘the World Game’ and come back next year for another year of fun.  Hopefully we will see you all at Presentation Day at Aussie World this Sunday where we celebrate a great season in style !

As President of this great club, I would also like to acknowledge the volunteers who have contributed their valuable time this year, from parents and families helping out on match days, donning the orange ‘Grounds Official vest’ on home games, helping out on the BBQ, canteen or set up/pack up duties. Thank you all.

Special thanks goes out to Kerry Scott, our wonderful canteen manager. Our canteen has received positive feedback from the SCCSA and other clubs all season long, and it is all down to Kerry’s hard work and smiles.

A massive thank you to Joann Austin, our fabulous and hardworking secretary. We have been so lucky to have Joann working behind the scenes at this club for several years now and it is because of Joann that this club functions the way that it does.

Thanks to Danni Allen, in her second year as registrar at the club, but Danni’s volunteering doesn’t stop at registrar duties,. She is continually at the club, helping out with everyone else with a smile on her face.

A massive thank you also to Daniel Ross our equipment officer, Tony Morwood our groundsperson, ably assisted by Mark Muddiman, and Bruce Johns website guru for all the time and energy you have all put into this club year.

And a special big thank you to the wonderful Linda Crawford for her work as Treasurer of this club.  You have helped us out so much.

To our teams who are still playing finals football, good luck. So far we have U14 Fusion and U15 Ninjas through to the Grand Final day, and still wait to see if the U14 Bandicoots get through their semi final next weekend to make it too.

We are hosting the Grand Finals at Fishermans Road on Saturday 2nd September and are looking for extra volunteer helpers on the day.  Please contact the club via email if you are keen to help.  But anyway come along and enjoy Grand Final day – a show case of wonderful junior football on the Sunny Coast.

We are also holding our Annual General Meeting at the Clubhouse on Monday 13th November 2017 at 7.00pm.  So if you are keen to step up and take a turn on the committee please come along. The current committee are happy to provide more information if you are interested in joining the team !  There are a number of positions that will need to be filled.

Congratulations all Buderim players to a great start to the 2017 season.  The good news is we have a big increase in Roo-ball player numbers this season and the Buderim United club is buzzing.  The new season has also seen a number of new coaches and managers in the Club and we thank you so much for all your efforts.

The Committee are busy behind the scenes, with new player sign ons still taking place, and plans a foot for our next home games on 13th and 20th of May.  Work on the backing nets behind the goals on both fields is well under way and hopefully will be completed before our next home match. A big thank you to our past president Scott Paul for organising this for the Club.

Also the fields are looking immaculate, and we owe our grounds person Tony MORWOOD (U11 Tigers coach)  massive thank you for all his time line marking both fields.  Tony has also been supported by Mark MUDDIMAN (U10 Lightning coach).  Without their efforts, there would be no fields marked on match days.  Another big thank you is also necessary to Tony for his work on our clubhouse building - installing new shelving in the equipment room, and installing a new trophy cabinet in the club house as part of our master plan !

A big thank you also goes out again to our major sponsor the Pacific Motor Group who have sponsored our entire playing strip - it looks brilliant !  Please support this wonderful Sunshine Coast business who have generously supported our club !

Exciting plans are underway for a July school holidays soccer camp at our grounds - more details will be released shortly.  We also wish all our representative players all the best this weekend in the Queensland Christian Soccer Association State Titles - this year being held on the Sunshine Coast. Play fair, enjoy yourselves and all the best again the other zones.

See you on Fishermans Road fields - and remember above all have fun playing the World Game, it is all about having fun for everyone!

President Buderim United Churches Soccer Club.
Hello Everybody.
The new 2017 season is fast approaching and I think it is going to be a superb year
for the Buderim United Churches Soccer Club.
This year all 19 clubs of the Sunshine Coast Churches Soccer Association
will be commencing electronic registrations (sign-ons) via our websites. This includes BUFC.
We are still awaiting the exact details of how this will be rolled-out, but an announcement is
imminent in time for the new season.  This will mean that returning players will be able to pay their
registrations on-line reducing a lot of red tape for both families and the committee.
We have lots of great things happening behind the scenes to get ready for the new season.
We are in consultation with Council to have backing nets installed behind the goals
on the main field and also the 3/4 field (field 2).
We have also some very exiting sponsorship news to announce for the new season.
We have entered into a partnership with the Pacific Motor Group who are going to be
our new major sponsor and this will begin with our new team shirts for the new season.
We will be playing in the same blue shorts and socks as before, but will have new and
improved blue shirts which are going to look awesome.
I especially want to say a big thank you to Craig and Jodie McPHERSON of Pacific
Motor Group for their generous support to the Club for the coming season.
Our Fisherman’s Road’s fields have been well looked after and rested during the
off-season and are looking like the best fields on the Sunny Coast.
A reminder also that we are hosting our own Soccer Come and Try Day on
4th of February at our fields for any new players born from 2012 or earlier.
Our teams start from under 6 age group, and it is a brilliant fun introduction to soccer
in a family friendly environment.   So spread the word, get people along to sign on, and
enjoy soccer with us at Fisherman’s Road fields.
See you all there

President Buderim United Churches Soccer Club.
It’s been a great start to the season for BUFC.
Thanks to all the volunteers who assisted with our first two home games, which helped create a fabulous atmosphere and contributed to a great day. It was also brilliant to see the inflatable soccer field in use on the second home game, which really added to the kid’s enjoyment on match day. I would also like to acknowledge the work behind the scenes of the new committee who have worked hard behind the scenes to get the season off to a great start. Thanks also to Tony and Mark with your efforts with all the line marking on the fields so that we can all enjoy the great Fishermans Road fields on match day with pride. Good luck to all BUFC teams this coming weekend. Remember that it is about all our children playing soccer in a safe and fun environment.
See you Saturday
